According to Eastern Orthodox Church tradition, Gethsemane is the garden where the Virgin Mary was buried and was assumed into heaven after her dormition on Mount Zion. In the Lutheran Church, much emphasis is placed on hearing the Word of God. The church teaches that the Bible does not merely contain the Word of God, but every word of it is inspired or " God-breathed." As Christians, it is important for us to remember that Lutherans believe in Jesus as their Savior, and they also believe that salvation is by grace through faith.
